How to Apply to become a Certified Mentor

The Certified Mentor Application Process for Agents

Before applying, Mentor applicants are suggested to have completed at least eight real estate transactions within the previous 12-month period, with at least two of these transactions closing at eXp Realty. If you do not meet these criteria, but would still like to pursue mentoring, please contact your state broker team. Mentor applicants should have advanced proficiency and full understanding of how to write contracts and transact real estate within the rules and regulations of their local municipality(s). Mentors must commit to being accessible to their mentee(s) during reasonable working hours and do their best to respond reasonably quickly to their mentee(s).

Mentor applicants must be in good standing with their local, state, and national realtor associations and must have the time, interest, and bandwidth to mentor newly licensed agents. They must be available to assist them through their first required transactions. A Mentor applicant must also be in good standing with the public and not have any complaints or grievances filed against them. If you have had grievances filed against you, but would still like to pursue mentorship, please contact your state broker team so that they can assess the grievance and how the event was handled/resolved.

*NC mentors must not be on Provisional Brokerage Status

The link to the application is available to any Agent with active Passport credentials.
Select “I want to be a Mentor” to continue.

If you already have a Mentor Application on file, you will receive a notification. Please contact mentorprogram@exprealty.net to remove application.

2. Complete the application in full

The Mentor Application is divided into two sections, 1) your Information and 2) the Mentor Application Details.

Review the “Your Information” section to confirm all information is accurate. The All Licenses and Active Markets tables may need to be updated.
Updates made to All Licenses and Active Markets will only update the Mentor Application.
This information is not distributed to any other service, such as Enterprise.

Complete all questions in the Mentor Application Details section. Pay special attention to mark if you would only like to mentor agents on your team or in your downline.

3. Select “submit” to send the completed application directly to your state broker team.

When the application has been submitted, an email notification is sent to your State Broker Team to review the application.  There is no further action you need to take at this time.
The DMB will review the application and either select the “Broker Approve” or “Broker Decline” button.

Approved Applicants will receive an email with the confirmation that they have been approved by their broker.

Declined Applicants will receive an email that indicates that they have been declined with instructions to follow up with their broker. (If you have not received an email approving (or declining) your application after two weeks of having submitted your application, please follow up with your state broker team directly.)
