How Do Commercial Transactions Work In The Mentor Program?

How Do Commercial Transactions Work In The Mentor Program?

If a mentee is paired with a mentor that is prepared to assist on a commercial transaction, it MUST be approved by the state broker, and the closing may count towards the menteeā€™s graduation requirements. The mentee would need to reference this in their Skyslope transaction notes so the Transactions Team can close the transaction as a mentored deal and properly calculate the Mentor fees.

The eXp Residential Mentor Program does not offer any training curriculum in commercial real estate. The majority of the Certified Mentors in the Mentor Program have no experience in commercial transactions. Therefore, the Mentor Program does not hold expectations on the part of the mentors to offer guidance on commercial contracts. Commercial transactions are to be worked independently, outside of the Mentor Program, and do not usually count towards graduation for the mentee.
