For Agents: What You Need to Know About Being Added to a Team in kvCORE
When you ask to be added to a Team in kvCORE, you open your leads up to the processes and systems put in place by the Team. For that reason, there are several things you should be aware of.
Important Lead Ownership Rules To Understand
- When you are on a Team, you will see your leads (we call these Agent owned leads) and leads owned by the Team if they are assigned to you (we call these Team owned leads).
- Leads you “own” stay with you if you leave the Team. They are your leads and you can do with them as you wish.
- You DO NOT get to keep leads owned by the Team if you leave the Team. Additionally, the Team leader can decide to move, transfer, and/or reassign Team leads at any time. Lastly, if you "export" your leads, the Team leads WILL NOT be in that export.
- Is it not recommended that you "transfer" ownership of a lead unless you genuinely don't want to work that lead anymore. When you transfer ownership of a lead to someone else, that person now owns that lead and has control over who works it and what happens with it.
Who Can View Your Leads
- When you are on a Team, your Team Admin or Team Leader can view and contact (email, text message, etc) all of your leads and all of the leads assigned to you.
This even applies to leads you own.
- If you don't want your Team Leader or Admin to view or contact your leads, you will want to make your leads Private. For more information, please read this article on making your leads private.
Account Access
- At eXp Realty, even if you are on a Team, your account is your account. We do not recommend giving your kvCORE username and password to anyone for any reason. Giving your username and password to someone puts all of your leads and your account at risk. If something happens, like all of your leads are transferred to another Agent, eXp and IRE have no way of reversing this. That is why is it critically important that you keep your account details secure.
Questions or Concerns?
If you have questions or concerns about the Team you are joining, make sure you seek out advice as soon as possible. It is important that you have a good understanding of what the expectations are from the Team you are joining.
Example Questions:
- Does the Team allow you to keep your leads private?
- Will the Team be reaching out to your leads?
- Will that communication from the Team or from you?
- What happens when you leave the Team?
Those are just some questions to get you started.
It is important to note the Tech Support Team does not get involved in any Team or lead ownership disputes. Please make sure you read and understand everything listed above before agreeing to join a Team.
