eXp World Hardware and Software Requirements


  • Windows 7 SP1+ 64-bit or newer, including Windows 11.

    • Windows S mode, however, is NOT supported.

  • Mac OS X 10.15 or newer.

  • eXp World desktop version is currently NOT compatible with iOS or Android based devices, Chromebooks or Linux based computers.

  • eXp World Intercom App requires iOS 8.0 or newer. It is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The eXp World Intercom app is available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Please note that the app only allows voice communications on eXp World, and is not a replacement for the Mac or Windows application.

* Voice connection times are significantly longer than other versions of OSX: therefore, an upgrade is recommended.


Hardware Requirements

Note: The minimum requirements are the very least necessary to run eXp World. If your computer does not meet these requirements, we can make no guarantee that your computer will be able to run eXp World. In order to get the best performance out of eXp World, we suggest meeting or exceeding the "recommended requirements."

CPU: 1.8GHz Intel Core i5 or 2GHz AMD Phenom II

CPU: 2.5GHz Intel Core i7 or 2.2Ghz AMD A8

Memory: 8GB

Memory: 16GB

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 620 or better*

Dedicated Graphics Device with DX11 (shader model 4.0) and min 1GB on-board memory

Storage: 5GB will be used, but you will need around 10GB available during installation.

 

Internet: Stable 10 Mbps Wi-Fi Connection

    • High-Speed Internet

      • Get the highest upstream and downstream you can afford

      • Minimum 10 Mbps up / 15 Mbps down

      • Test your current download speed at SpeedTest.net


  • Optional Hardware

    • Portable Printer

      • Print Contracts in the field

      • Hook up to cars electrical system

    • Desktop Workstation

      • Larger Monitor or Monitors

        • 25″ 1920 x 1080 displays are under $150. The additional landscape will improve your ability to work dramatically.

      • You may want to hook your existing laptop to its own keyboard, monitor and mouse combination for efficiency.

        • Many laptops have docking stations for easy hookup


  • Hardware to AVOID

    • Chromebooks. Computers must have Windows or Mac OS to run eXp World.

    • Any type of tablet or tablet/computer combo. Tablets tend to have smaller internal components that are designed for portability and not performance.

    • Common computers that have reoccurring issues. Macbook Air, Surface Pro, Galaxybooks.

    • Snapdragon Processors.

    • Any ARM-based processors (excluding Apple M1 and M2 chips)

    • Macbooks with Mojave OS are not supported.

    • Google Voice Phone Number

      • Manage who can call you and when they can call you

      • Voicemail to Text / Text messaging

      • Free Long Distance anywhere in the U.S. (except Alaska and Hawaii)
