Accepting Or Declining A Mentee Request

Accepting Or Declining A Mentee Request

Mentees are paired with mentors based on MLS, zip code, city, and state. Mentees have the ability to select a requested Mentor within their join application. The goal of the Mentor Program is to pair a mentee with a mentor in close proximity in order to take part in shadowing and in-person meetings. We do not pair outside of a two hour drive time unless it is by request and approved by the broker. When we have paired you with a mentee, we will send an initial email letting you know we have a mentee in your area. If you would like to take on a new mentee click “accept” in the email. If you are not able to take a new mentee on for any reason, please click “decline”. There is no need to let us know why you need to decline, and this does not count against you. If there is no action taken within 48 hours, the mentee will be reassigned to a new mentor. Please hit accept or decline as soon as possible.

After you accept, the pairing will be made active and the mentee’s pay plan will be adjusted to reflect Mentor Program fees on required transactions.  Now is the time to discuss the mentee’s goals, expectations, and current workflow.

If you decide not to work together, send us an email at mentorprogram@exprealty.net and we will reassign the mentee.

Please reach out to the mentee a total of three times; using phone call, text, or email, before requesting that the mentee be reassigned due to unresponsiveness. Please let the Mentor Program know after three attempts, and one week of attempting, that the mentee is unresponsive by filling out the Unresponsive Mentee Form. Please provide as many details as possible and any communication logs you may have saved.
